Hey all. I apologize, in advance, for the long intro. It's one of my girl habits; I can talk about myself for a long long time. But... I, am Quinn. Technically, it's Barbara Quinn, but I know no one that would go by Barbara over Quinn, thus... There are numerous nicknames that go along with this, many of which I am called both on forums and in real life. Such as: Quinnz, Quinneh, Quinny, Quinneth, Q, Quinneh the Pooh, Quinnifer, and if you're feeling creative, be my guest and add to this list.
As I would like to establish, I go to a boarding school, many of which are private, which give out more homework than is necessary, and therefore I may not be posting quickly. But this may be for other reasons as well. Such as friends who often take over my tv and start up a game of Halo, which I am magnetically attracted to. Or because I was stupid enough to get a job at a coffee shop called... get ready for this... The Monkey Grinder. Believe me, if there was any justice in this world, the first meteor to strike the face of the earth would crash down straight into the windsheild of my boss's crappy car while it took up three employee parking spaces in the back of the Monkey Grinder. But anyways...
As far as hobbies go, I enjoy writing, drawing, video gaming, cooking, baking, super heroes, spelunking, shenanigannery, closing my eyes when driving, wearing sunglasses at night, dressing mannequins at the mall, reinacting episodes of 24 in the mall, becoming aquainted with the mall cops at the mall, and dancing. Extra curriculars include running (passion 1), karate (passion 2), and par kour (combination of passions 1 and 2). I'm also learning to drift a car, and so far have near mastered the ninety-degree slide. This is a slow process, and my friend who's currently teaching me has curled into a preztel of suspense multiple times.
Two things that I'm an unusually big fan of are music and movies. They are my therapy when I am not writing or playing especially gorey video games with muh' boys. Though most think I'm crazy, because I have proudly blew out three pairs of headphones, one pair of car speakers and wrecked several DVDs by playing them too many times. Also, the guy behind the counter at the movie theatre knows me by name, as does the Thursday from 3-9 greeter at Best Buy. If you need any suggestions for movies/music, or have any, be my guest and let me know.
Also because of this, I'm big on acting. Since freshman year I've been the lead in plays/musicals at my school. Freshman year I was Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz and Rosemary in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, sophmore I was Sandy in Grease(let me tell you, the upperclassmen were not happy about all this...), and this year I snagged the part of Satine in Moulin Rouge, super kid-friendly/parent friendly/school appropriate version. Our school's big on acting, which is really the reason I'm there.
One thing you should know about me right now: I'm a super nerd. I could surely out-nerd you all. But incase you don't believe me, let me elaborate. Reason #1: I have a secret knowledge of comic books. I keep them hidden under my bed like teenaged boys do with playboys. #2: Speed Racer is my hero, and I wish I could be more like him. #3: I missed a concert once because I was playing Halo. #4: I wrote an English paper comparing and contrasting Macbeth and Star Wars. #5: I got an A. #6: I've made countless Sherlock Holmes references in public, which no one ever understands... I could go on with more examples of things that I find embarassing but at the same time am proud of, but I'll end this paragraph saying that thankfully, I have very understanding and supporting friends who talk me out of doing things like naming my dog Skywalker.
Speaking of my dog(s), that's another thing. Despite living in a dorm room, I have three dogs. Not really, but me and my three best pals share them. Levi lives with me, he's a border collie who can catch a frisbee like mad. Miles is my friend Gavin's, he's the nicest dog you'll ever meet. A big brown husky. Kingsley is Hunty's, the two share mellow-arrogance and play it cool, german shepherd/somethin' else. Geronimo is Liam's, but he doesn't really trust anyone else. Irish Wolfhound. Huge. How we all ended up living with four big dogs is kind of a funny story, but by now you're probably tired of reading so...
Well, that's the Quinnster in a nutshell. I'm open to chat at any time (unless I'm up to my neck in stuff to do), so feel free to drop me a PM. I'm pretty friendly, so if I'm on say hi in the c-box, or, once again, send me a PM to have a chat. Now I've got to stop before I make this into way longer and more pointless than it should be (I'm guessing it's too late...).

OH MAN I AM A HUGE NERD TOO A dog named skywalker would be soooo great, I don't see why it's a good thing they dissauaded you! But my biggest area of nerdiness is star trek, actually. mostly the original series ♥ Then again I have very diverse tastes so I can talk for hours about Star Trek and Star Wars and Harry Potter (this x2) and Lord of the Rings and Jane Austen and all sorts of things like that I'm the one who talks about how I can't stop to say hello because I'll lose all my momentum, and isn't good for my inertia, and later explains schadenfreude to my friends and then they all give me 'wtf' faces and I'm alright with that
To make matters worse, I am also allergic to so many things... So you'll often see me with my kleenex sniffling and scratching at hives just like the nerd in all the cartoons
I also love Halo a lot, on split-screen. Actually my friends and I like to play Halo 2 and yell and hit each other a lot
Anyway I read your whole post but I have an awful memory so I can't remember most of it so hey, let's be friends :)

NERDS UNITE! If my fellow RPGers have taught me anything, it's that there are a lot of us out there! And Skywalker would've been awesome, but my dog is such a Levi xP I'm glad for the replacement rather than the dissuasion, if that makes any sense...
I was never much of a trekkie, but I can respect its presence in the world (which many hardcore Star Wars fans cannot). As for the rest, they make up the posters that cover my walls and notebooks. Especially HP/LotR :]
Haha, I totally know everything you just said, they're words I use to impress my surprisingly standard-vocabular...ied teachers. But then of course they surprise me with a word like geitonogamous and make me look stupid...
That's the real way to release stress, playin' up some Halo :]
I agree, let's be friends :]
I feel like a weirdo having been like, one of two people having shared something about myself O,O...
